Everything You Need to Succeed on the GRE®
Test
The Graduate Record Examination, GRE,
revised General Test is a standardized exam that is administered by the Educational
Testing Service, ETS. Exam scores are used by graduate school admission offices
in the United States and in other English-speaking countries. The exam measures
quantitative, verbal, and essay writing skills. It is most often administered as
a computer-based exam. At MyGRETutor, you'll find hundreds of simulation practice
questions, simulation exams, a vocabulary tutor and a review of the exam's topics.
The Format of the GRE Revised General Test
The GRE revised General Test is composed of three assessment sections: verbal reasoning,
quantitative reasoning, and analytical writing. The two verbal sections contain
reading comprehension (single answer, and multiple answers), text completion, and
sentence equivalence questions, while the two quantitative reasoning sections contain
multiple choice (single answer, and multiple answers), quantitative comparison,
and user input questions. The analytical writing section is comprised of two writing
tasks, each 30 minutes long.
