You might need to cancel or reschedule your GRE exam. It is not recommended that you change your registration or cancel the test because you think that you must study more. However, there are often medical, family, work, etc., reasons that facilitate you needing to reschedule or cancel your exam.
s You must reschedule or cancel your exam at least 10 days before your appointment. Otherwise, your registration fee will not be refunded. If you cancel your exam at least 10 days prior to your exam appointment, you will be refunded one-half of the original fee. If you are scheduled to take the computer-based GRE exam, you can cancel using the Cancel Online option, call 1-443-751-4820, 1-800-GRE-CALL, or contact your regional registration center where you are scheduled to take the exam. The cost to reschedule the GRE revised General Test is $50.
If you want to change the location where you take your exam, Contact ETS. The fee to change your exam center is $50. If you are taking the paper based exam only, you can go to your preferred exam center on the day of the test with your original admission ticket, and if there are available time slots, you can take the paper test there at no additional charge. However, there is no guarantee that there will be available room at your new preferred exam center.
